As of January 2020, John McComas will be fully retired. We say “fully retired” because he’s been “semi-retired” for many years now, as he has helped us with consultations and walkthroughs. John founded JMC inspections in 1982, and since then he has not only been providing top-notch inspections, but also volunteering with the local inspection chapter and mentoring the next generation of inspectors. All of us at JMC Inspections are forever in his debt, and we will miss his wit and wisdom. While you will no longer see him crawling under houses, he’ll still be doing what he loves best: Scottish dancing!
Current owner Paul Barraza has been working with John since 2007. While attending an ITA (Inspection Training Associates) course, he caught the attention of instructor John McComas, which served as a spring board to start an apprenticeship under one of the most well respected home inspectors in the Bay Area. Paul bought JMC Building Inspections in January of 2015.
